Q: How old were you when you started skiing?
I was just under two years old.
Q: What is your favorite breakfast spot before hitting the mountain?
Victoria’s Espresso a couple of blocks from the gondola. Make sure you fuel up with a breakfast sanga (Aussie for sandwich) at this cute and casual Australian cafe.
Q: What is your favorite on mountain lunch spot in Aspen?
Aspen Mountain (a.k.a Ajax) - For lunch, I love Bonnie’s they have unbelievably good salads and the biggest slices of homemade pies you’ve ever seen. I also love Ajax Tavern, where you might get lucky and see the electric violinist playing. Enjoy drinks and live music, and be sure to order the truffle parmesan french fries, they’re one of my favorites!
Q: What is your favorite boutique to shop at?
Gorsuch. It’s impossible for me to visit Aspen without visiting my favorite store at least once. Located at the base of Ajax, pop over for any last minute gifts or home decor and clothing favorites to take with you.
Q: What is your favorite "hidden" dinner spot in Aspen?
Pine Creek Cookhouse - You can opt to get back on your feet and take a cross-country ski or snowshoe tour to the restaurant, but if you’re like me, you’ll take the horse and carriage ride under the stars to a picturesque cabin nestled into the mountain.
Q: What is your favorite Aspen nightspot?
After dinner, continue your night at the Caribou Club, a private members club where you can have a delectable Espresso Martini as a nightcap, or stay a little bit longer for the DJ and dancing. A couple of drinks in, you may remember you’re at altitude, and notice the alcohol is hitting you a little faster than you anticipated. Ask for some famously yummy cheesy bread to soak it up!
Q: What is your first memory of Aspen?
My first memory as a child is visiting with my parents and the special memories we created as a family.
