Hampton King's Travel Story

Q: What song do you have on repeat when you travel?
I always have some sort of mix playing when I'm traveling - although right now I do like the song Girls by Cardi B and Maroon 5. 

Q: Do you ever get cold on the plane? If so, do you ring the flight attendant for a blanket or do you just endure and suffer? 
Always! I tend to suffer through - sadly.  

Q: How far in advance do you book a trip for?
For flights and hotels, I normally book 1-5 months ahead of time. For restaurants, I usually book one month in advance. I love to try new restaurants when I travel - such a foodie.

Q: What is your favorite beach vacation to visit?
I love the sand and clear waters in St Barth's! It's magical.

Q: What is the one personal product you can't travel without? 
My small blanket goes everywhere with me - it's a pink cashmere shawl I turned into a blanket and I am absolutely religious about bringing it on every trip!

Q: What is your favorite thing to order from room service?
A club sandwich

Q: What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you on a travel trip?
This one's tough... I can't really think of anything that has been too embarrassing. I booked the wrong hotel dates once and that was a bit awkward.. whoops!

Q: Do you bring a physical book or just read on your iPad?
Physical book!

Q: Do you work out when you travel, or nah?
I find myself eating an abundance when traveling - maybe just because I want to try every restaurant while I am away so I make it a point to work out almost everyday - I just feel so much better.

Q: If you could time travel, what age would you travel back to?
I would travel back to the early 80s.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Q: Favorite musician?
I really can't think of one musician as being my favorite but I am a big Beyoncé fan... I guess who isn't?!

Q: What is the most you've ever paid for wifi in a hotel room?
I want to say I skimp out if I have to pay for WiFi because I think it should be free - but I would say maybe $10.

Q: What's the most expensive thing you've gotten confiscated at TSA?
I was running late for a flight one day, and didn’t have time to check a bag. I had my favorite Kerastase shampoo and conditioner with me, and they both got confiscated. I was very sad to part with them. Since then, I've always made an effort to bring things that are carry-on approved.

Q: Let's travel back through time, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I was a massive tomboy growing up so there was definitely a phase when I wanted to be a firefighter or race cars.
