Sabina's Travel Story
Sabina Ceric's Travel Story
Q: What song do you have on repeat when you travel?
I am a 90's girl at heart. I love to listen to anything TLC, Destiny's Child, Ace of Base.
Q: Do you ever get cold on the plane? If so, do you ring the flight attendant for a blanket or do you just endure and suffer?
I am cold all the time! I always try to bring a cozy sweater or my own blanket on flights - on the rare occasion that I forget, I have no shame in asking for extras.
Q: How far in advance do you book a trip for?
I'm generally a last minute booker! If it's a domestic flight - I'll usually book a few days to a week in advance.
Q: What is your favorite beach vacation to visit?
Croatia. I am from Bosnia originally, and grew up going to the beaches of Croatia! My favorite spot in particular is the island of Vis.
Q: What is the one personal product you can't travel without?
Body cream. My hands and skin tend to get dehydrated and dry on flights. I try to always have my Grown Alchemist Body Cream on to keep my skin moisturized in-flight.
Q: AirBnB or Hotels?
Airbnb 100% - I think you get a much better taste of the city style and culture by exploring personal homes.
Q: What is your favorite thing to order from room service?
Coca-Cola, a hamburger, and a side of fries.
Q: What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you on a travel trip?
I once dozed off at the gate and managed to miss my flight.
Q: Do you bring a physical book or just read on your iPad?
I am old school - always have physical books on me.
Q: Do you work out when you travel, or nah?
Nah.
Q: If you could time travel, what age would you travel back to?
Not too far back - I think our late 20s are (and will be) some of our best years.
Q: Favorite movie?
Casablanca.
Q: Favorite musician?
A Croatian singer named Oliver Dragojevic.
Q: What is the most you've ever paid for wifi in a hotel room?
I would say $20.
Q: What's the most expensive thing you've gotten confiscated at TSA?
My La Mer night creme. I just had it taken this past summer - a total bummer! Also, I almost packed my new Byredo perfume, Gypsy Hour, in my carry-on. Luckily I remembered to take it out before I left my house!
Q: Let's travel back through time, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An architect. I always thought I would go into architecture - turns out I can't draw and have no sense of spacial awareness.
Q: Favorite childhood book?
I used to love Lloyd Alexander books - The Castle of Llyr and The Black Cauldron were two of my favorites.
Q: Favorite childhood movie you watched all the time?
Peter Pan. I wanted to be Wendy Darling.
